Description
Finding solutions for a sustainable energy supply is an issue that preoccupies politicians and society like few others. Reconciling security of supply, efficiency and environmental factors is a major challenge, particularly against the backdrop of international environmental protection efforts and increasing energy needs.
Primarily, the acatech topical network concentrates on making assessments based on the technologies available today and in the foreseeable future – thus addressing the question of how to reach a reasonable balance in the application of different energy sources.
Hence, the network tries to contribute to the energy debate surrounding sustainable and efficient concepts, while seeking a consensus with other topical networks, especially biotechnology and mobility, and with the special projects of the Executive Board.
